JUST RELEASED THEIR LIVE EP

‘Live At St. Luke’s’

RECORDED IN ST. LUKES CHURCH, CORK

Today, Friday 16th October, accompanied by an evocative visual set against the backdrop of one of Ireland’s most atmospheric venues, Live at St. Luke’s sees Pebbledash encapsulate the feedback-laden ferocity and folk-indebted textures of their live performances, as well as reimagining audience favourites like Killer Lover and Tiles and Moss in a manner harkening back to the undercurrent of traditional music running through their catalogue. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Enda Boyle. Videography by Daniel Hurley.

This EP is part of a series of live reimagined recordings, including the inclusion of their tracks ‘Killer Lover’ and ‘Cell’ in the BLAB003 cassette (Order Here).

Speaking on the EP Cormac Donovan O’Neill (keys/guitar/backing vocals) says, “It’s been an ambition of ours to record our first substantial live session in St Luke’s for quite some time, and we’ve been so excited to share it with our audience; some of our favourite gigs we’ve played or attended have been in this venue, and it featured on the cover art of Killer Lover / Carraig Aonair, which marked such an important juncture in our progress musically. The imagery of a deconsecrated church in the heart of Cork City as a venue speaks to so much of the thematic throughlines of our writing, from the vivid colours and textures of glass and stone combined with the intangible air of the sacred hovering throughout the place, to the physical nature of a live performance that we sought to capture in these recordings and visuals along with the indescribable feeling of connection and transcendance we all associate with playing live.”
