Kicking off last Thursday with a double-header of two of Ireland’s genuinely most accomplished vocalists – Róisín O and Shobsy – Bulmers Live at Leopardstown has returned in full swing with a series going all in on homegrown talent.
This Thursday, the 18th of June, sees inimitable Irish alt-pop band Soda Blonde take to the stage for the second night of the series. Next month’s line-up welcomes all-female trad supergroup BIIRD on Thursday the 16th of July, with two further line-up announcements to be made for the 9th and 23rd July.
With a sound that blends rich vocal harmonies, evocative lyricism, and bold, genre-defying production, Soda Blonde has carved out a distinct space in the Irish independent music scene.
Their debut album Small Talk (2021) and sophomore record Dream Big (2023) both earned Choice Music Prize nominations, while their self-produced visuals, merch, and videos reflect a meticulous and cohesive artistic vision.
In July 2025, Soda Blonde released the People Pleaser EP, which entered at #2 in the Irish Independent Album Charts, underscoring their growing national profile. Later that year, the band unveiled Dream Big Live with the National Symphony Orchestra – a double live album and concert film captured during their sold-out National Concert Hall performance in 2024.

The band’s steady output has been matched by an ambitious touring schedule. Following their UK/EU headline tour in spring 2025, they will embark on their first U.S. tour this Autumn (2026).
Soda Blonde have cultivated a loyal international fanbase through their Members Club, dynamic live shows, and a reputation for combining pop accessibility with uncompromising artistry.
This year’s refreshed Bulmers Live at Leopardstown site layout features a vibrant mix of entertainment beyond the main stage, including local food trucks and stalls, the Bulmers bar and garden area, street performers, buskers, trad sessions, Bodhrán workshops and more, celebrating the very best of Irish culture.
Mark Clayton, CEO of Leopardstown Racecourse, says: “We’re really excited for this year’s Bulmers Live at Leopardstown series. We’ve secured some of Ireland’s top homegrown talent, and our aim is to create an action-packed day where racegoers can experience the very best of Irish racing, music, arts and crafts, comedy, and more.”
David Whelan, On-Trade Commercial Director, C&C Ireland commented: “Bulmers Live at Leopardstown is a standout event within our partnership with HRI Racecourses, designed to deepen the experience for existing race fans while broadening the appeal of horse racing to new audiences. The anticipation for this event is already building and we look forward to a great summer.”
