Paul Weller Announces New Live Album ‘In The Shadow Of The Sun

A live album featuring solo, The Jam & The Style Council classics recorded on his recent summer tour – available digitally on 2nd October 2026.
Additionally, a coloured vinyl edition of 2015 solo album Saturns Pattern to be released for this year’s National Album Day.
Paul Weller has announced details of In The Shadow Of The Sun, Paul Weller & Band Live & Very Direct, a 31-track live album recorded during his summer 2026 run of outdoor U.K. shows, which brought together a phenomenal band and a setlist spanning the songs that have defined Weller’s musical journey, in performances widely praised by fans and press alike.
Available digitally on Friday 2nd October, the album brings together classic tracks and much-loved favourites from across Weller’s remarkable catalogue, spanning The Jam, The Style Council and his solo work, alongside a cover of a Curtis Mayfield classic.

Additionally, last week Parlophone announced details of a reissue of his 12th solo album, 2015’s Saturns Pattern, pressed on special two-colour splatter vinyl to mark this year’s National Album Day on 17th October.
Originally released in May 2015 and reaching No. 2 in the UK Albums Chart, the album has sold more than 70,000 copies in the UK to date. It features the singles ‘Saturns Pattern’ and ‘Going My Way’, alongside ‘White Sky’, a collaboration with The Amorphous Androgynous.

Paul released his last studio album, 66, in 2024 which was followed in 2025 by Find El Dorado, a deeply personal collection of reinterpretations that saw him revisit songs that have long lived in the back of his mind. Most recently, this year saw the release of Weller At The BBC Vol.2, a 3-disc collection of recordings taken from various sessions at the BBC between 2008-2024.
