Kaleidoscope festival announces its new home in Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most iconic natural and heritage landscapes, marking an exciting new era for the country’s leading family festival. After six wonderful years at Russborough House, the festival has grown beyond its current home and will move to Glendalough Estate next year to accommodate an expanded programme and a growing audience. Kaleidoscope are hugely grateful to Russborough for being such an exceptional host and for sharing in the festival’s journey and success to date.
Nestled within the Wicklow Mountains, the move keeps the festival in Wicklow and continues its high-comfort family standards including all-flushable toilets and campsite kitchens with an expanded focus on nature and outdoor adventure programming. The relocation also unlocks more space for families to camp together, with increased room for campervans, caravans and cars. A new family‑friendly sit-down restaurant joins a much-anticipated expanded programme of headline and homegrown music, family activities, sports and outdoor adventure, nature and wellness, creating the festival’s most all‑ages festival to date.
Kaleidoscope also confirms its biggest ever Loyalty Scheme for 2027, with the largest allocation of loyalty tickets the festival has ever released, giving previous attendees exclusive early‑access pricing before tickets go on general sale. Designed directly around what families told the festival they needed most, the scheme offers Ireland’s best‑value festival ticket and Kaleidoscope’s most flexible payment plan to date, with instalments starting from €17.60 for weekend adult tickets and €13.40 for children. The festival is releasing an exclusive Best Value Family of Four Weekend Ticket, available only during the loyalty window, priced at €286 inclusive of fees for two adults and two children.

Running from Wednesday September 23rd to Sunday November 1st, or until sold out, returning festival-goers can secure their weekend through either a single upfront payment or a five‑stage loyalty instalment plan, one payment in 2026, followed by four monthly instalments from February to May 2027. With headline and homegrown music, all‑ages programming, comfort upgrades, nature adventure and wellness all included, the three day July festival offers Ireland’s best‑value festival ticket, both in price and in what attendees can enjoy. Registration for the 2027 Loyalty Scheme opens today, Thursday September 16th at kaleidoscopefestival.ie.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Shell Holden, Director of Marketing at Kaleidoscope says: “After six memorable years at Russborough House, Kaleidoscope has grown beyond its current home and will relocate to Glendalough next year to deliver an expanded programme and welcome more families. We are hugely grateful to Russborough for being such a fantastic host and for sharing in the festival’s journey and success over the years”.
Holden continues “Our recent survey showed that our families loved this summer’s sitewide comfort upgrades and quality of the festival, and the move to Glendalough gives us more room to do more of what our fans love, including adventure and discovery, right in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. But most of all, it gives every family more room to spend real time together, which 96% of families rated as the single most important reason they come to our family‑focused summer festival.”
She adds: “Parents were clear that flexibility around cost and timing is essential, with 40% telling us they typically wait for payday before booking a family weekend away. That’s why our parent-friendly ticketing now includes a five‑stage instalment plan with payments as low as €13.40. It makes our three-day camping festival Ireland’s best‑value festival ticket, not just in what’s included, but in the price itself. It’s all designed to make planning ahead easier, smoother and more affordable.”
