O’Dowda says:

“‘Like New’ is loosely about understanding how it can sometimes be difficult to make meaningful changes in your life, and embracing that uneasy feeling you get when you venture out of your comfort zone.”

Following its inclusion on the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends list and a First Play on The Late Show on BBC Radio Ulster, the video arrived as the next compelling chapter in of the song’s release.

Filmed in the garden studio of fine artist Scott Tetlow in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, the video captures Tetlow creating the artwork for ‘Like New’ from start to finish, offering a quiet look at the process of turning a blank canvas into something entirely new.

The video was filmed and directed by John Corrin of Wasp Videos, another longtime collaborator of O’Dowda’s, bringing an intimate and observational approach to Tetlow’s creative process.

The single marks a new era for O’Dowda,, bringing together his seasoned experience in songwriting and production with his desire to musically reconnect with his Irish roots after much time spent abroad. Offering a glimpse into a yet-to-be-announced  body of work, the single marks a new high point of an established  career across music, television and film.
