Brennan Wedl is set to bring her distinctive blend of punk, grunge and Americana to Dublin this November, with a headline show at Bellobar on 11 November 2026.
The Nashville-based, Minnesota-raised songwriter arrives in Ireland following the release of her self-titled debut album for ANTI-, a record that marks a new chapter for an artist who has spent more than a decade exploring identity, creativity, spirituality and what it means to finally feel at home in yourself.
A prolific songwriter and musician, Wedl has been releasing solo music since 2012 and co-founded the influential queercore band Dazey & The Scouts in 2015. The band’s unexpected viral success introduced Wedl to audiences around the world, while teaching her the power of vulnerability, collaboration and the unique sense of community created through live music.
Her new album is the culmination of that journey. Recorded live as a band over just 10 days at Brad Cook’s studio in Durham, North Carolina, the record was co-produced by Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Mavis Staples), with contributions from Colin Croom, Lindsey Jordan and Matt McCaughan.

Affectionately dubbed “grungetry”, the album finds a middle ground between the raw energy of punk and grunge and the warmth of Americana. Across its songs, Wedl shakes off the pressure of being perceived by others and embraces the freedom of becoming exactly who she is.
From the snarling self-discovery of ‘Pretty Little Fantasy’ to the dreamy, twang-filled escapism of ‘Let’s Be Models’ and the self-belief of ‘Two Dollar Pistol’, Wedl’s songwriting is playful, intimate and deeply human. Her songs inhabit the strange, exhilarating territory of growing up, leaving old versions of yourself behind and learning to trust your own instincts.
For Wedl, home has become less about a physical place and more about the small moments, people and rituals that make life feel meaningful. Her spirituality, sobriety and years spent touring and moving across the US have all shaped an album that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar.
At its heart, Brennan Wedl is a record about choosing yourself.
“Be your own daddy.” – Brennan Wedl
