Rising Antwerp trio Bluai return with their new album The Way You Talk Reminds Me Of Home on October 30th. The album follows their acclaimed debut Save It For Later. Alongside the announcement the band have released their latest single ‘It’s Gotta Be Me’. The band will also play Pukkelpop festival this weekend, before a run of UK dates in October. Listen to ‘It’s Gotta Be Me’ HERE.

Built around delicate fingerpicked guitars and an understated arrangement, ‘It’s Gotta Be Me’ unfolds the painful moment when holding on is no longer the kindest thing to do. As the band explains: “The song is about the moment you realise that staying together no longer makes either person happy. Sometimes there’s only one thing left to do: be the one who walks away.”

Produced by Isabel Gracefield and recorded at RAK Studios in London, The Way You Talk Remind Me Of Home was tracked live with the full band over just five days. A record about living between past and present, its songs begin in conversations with family, friends, partners and people who reappear after years away, turning small moments into reflections on childhood, love, grief, responsibility and the uncertainty of approaching thirty.

Rather than a traditional coming-of-age record, it is about figuring it out. The songs are rooted in real situations and relationships, exploring the patterns we repeat, the people we worry about, and the things that are difficult to say out loud. Influenced by Feist, Adrianne Lenker and MJ Lenderman, the album moves between intimate stories of family, friendship and relationships and broader feelings of pressure, uncertainty and growing older.

Following a slot at Pukkelpop Festival this Weekend, the band will return to the UK for a run of UK shows with The Clockworks this October. Kicking off at Brudenel Social Club on October 9th, the five date run will also see the trio play a show at London’s Scala on Friday October 16th. More info HERE.
