Pop-trio Remember Monday announce their debut album ‘Can We Press Rewind?’, set for release 29th January via So What? Recordings, featuring their brand new single ‘Dream Cheat’, released today. The album is available to pre-order here on limited edition ‘Purple Marble’ vinyl, ‘Transparent Blue’ vinyl, CD and three very special limited edition cassette tapes.

A record that feels as much like a film as it does an album, ‘Can We Press Rewind?’ is Remember Monday stepping fully into their own creative world. The band soundtrack the highs, lows, questionable decisions, heartbreaks, new beginnings and romantic disasters that make up modern dating – with all the wit and personality that has become synonymous with Remember Monday. It’s a 12-track brilliantly chaotic rom-com told through songs.

At the centre of it is the band’s songwriting. Written and developed together, the album captures the evolution of three musicians who have grown increasingly confident in their creative instincts, pushing their sound and storytelling into something that feels distinctly their own. Rather than simply documenting where they’ve been, ‘Can We Press Rewind?’ is a snapshot of where Remember Monday are going next.

New single ‘Dream Cheat’ is an irreverent take on one of those irrational and relatable relationship experiences imaginable: waking up furious with your partner after dreaming they’ve cheated on you. The track turns jealousy, insecurity and a completely imaginary betrayal into a playful, tongue-in-cheek pop song. You can listen here.

The accompanying music video for ‘Dream Cheat’ turns the song’s scenario into a cinematic prom-night nightmare. Set at a picture-perfect ’90s school prom, the video follows a Prom Queen whose seemingly perfect night begins to unravel as her dream boyfriend betrays her in front of a room full of guests. What starts as an idyllic night of romance and celebration gradually descends into a surreal fever dream of chaos – offering a first glimpse into the visual world of Remember Monday’s forthcoming debut album.

Speaking about the track, Remember Monday said: “To every partner who’s ever woken up to cold rage with no explanation: we’re sorry. We’re also not sorry! You know what you did! You didn’t do anything. Still though, go sleep on the couch tonight. ‘Dream Cheat’ is the soundtrack to every irrational 7am grudge – feel free to play it passive aggressively at your partner the next time they do something mean in your dreams xo.”

The track’s premise plays out like a perfectly ridiculous rom-com scene where the betrayal never actually happened, but the emotional fallout very much did. ‘Dream Cheat’ embraces the messy and irrational side of love rather than trying to make it neat.

Together, the 12 songs create a record that feels deliberately cinematic, like a collection of individual scenes that, when put together, become one bigger story.

And with the album comes a new live chapter. Remember Monday will take ‘I’m Just A Girl’ UK Tour 2027 across the UK next February, including their biggest headline show to date at KOKO, London, on Wednesday 10 February.
