share new single “Indigo” and announce past collaborator Sanna Heinstedt as new permanent band member

100%WET share new single “Indigo” via Crunchy Frog Recordings, and with it, the news that Sanna Heinstedt (ASA Eir) has become a full and permanent member of the band.

Sanna is no newcomer to 100%WET’s world. First appearing as a featured vocalist on early single “Ether” under her monikir, she has been a constant presence in the band’s live and creative life since, her voice and sensibility woven into the fabric of almost everything they have made. “Indigo” makes official what has been true in practice for some time.

The track itself reflects that arrival. Built on lush, layered guitars soaked in reverb and threaded with subtle eastern influence, “Indigo” gives full space to the interplay between Casper Munns’ and Sanna’s voices, a pairing that feels entirely natural and years in the making. Hypergaze, the term the band coined to describe their own sound, has always lived in the space between alt-rock atmosphere and hyperreal production- trip-hop-inflected beats, heavily layered guitars,  Auto-Tuned choruses, atmospheric sound design drawn from the same underground currents that have come to define the Copenhagen and Swedish scenes. Here, that palette feels fully inhabited.

Speaking on the new single Casper Munns said: “I’ll spare the deeper meaning, but ‘Indigo’ reminds me of how time can change perspective and create new beauty. When I wrote it, the song came from a dark place – a needy, desperate longing that needed to be forced out. As time has passed, I’ve started to see it more as a love song, a celebration of life. It’s a good reminder that songs can shift. Hearing it again in a different state of mind has completely changed how it feels to me, and I like that it can be left open for the listener to bring their own meaning to it.”

Adding on the inclusion of Sanna to the band, Casper said: “She’s been a part of the band officially for quite a while – we’ve hardly played a show without her for over a year now, so it’s almost old news for us. It’s really nice to finally get it out there and have her recognised as a full member. We started out collaborating with different singers, but organically her voice just started to fit – her tone and the guitars found each other naturally.”

Jakob expanded further: “Sanna has been a huge creative force in the process of creating the upcoming sound – our primary partner-in-crime in the studio and live over the last few years, so it’s a natural step for her to be a bona fide member of the band. We’re stoked to work with such a powerful voice as Sanna’s and didn’t feel like it wouldn’t be true to the band’s actual process to remain a duo.”

The release also marks a personal milestone for the band. Last year, Casper Munns was hospitalised after contracting a rare and life-threatening illness, one that placed him in an induced coma and forced the cancellation of shows, writing sessions and a long-awaited UK live debut. The full details of that period are being shared publicly for the first time. That the band have returned not only intact but with their most fully realised music to date is a testament to what 100%WET have become.

Forming at Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatoire, an institution known for its growing list of alt-pop exports including Clarissa Connelly, ML Buch, Smerz and Astrid Sonne, the band was built around a shared desire to merge the immersive textures of shoegaze with the rhythmic intensity of drum and bass. Their debut self-titled album earned widespread praise from The Line of Best Fit, KEXP, CLASH, Dork, Electronic Sound and Louder Than War. Live, they brought their sound to SPOT Festival and Roskilde, and supported Primal Scream on their last Copenhagen headline show. Earlier this year, they returned with a cover of Grimes’ “Delete Forever”, followed by “Eleanor’s Escape”, their first original material of 2026.

“Indigo” is out now via Crunchy Frog Recordings.
