Discover the Fun of Night and Day Festival 2024

The Night and Day Festival in Roscommon returns once again, after two very successful previous events, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better, with its unique blend of music, art, and culture. Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Lough Key Forest Park, this festival offers a rare opportunity to experience top-notch performances in one of Irelands premier locations.

A Musical Extravaganza

The Night and Day team brings its uniqueness to the table, when curating their lineup by putting together various genres, from indie rock to electronic club. Notable acts this year being Damien Dempsey, Bell X1, Susan O’Neill, Ash, The Undertones, The 4 of Us, I Have at Tribe, Gemma Hayes, Cry Before Dawn and Frank & Walters, creating a gourmet of musical headliners.

Now if headliners are the main course, then the emerging talent being showcased at Night and Day are worthy starters with Dea Matrona, Morgana, Chalk, Kynsy, Ailbhe Reddy, Roisin El Cherif, Shark School and Last Apollo setting the scene.

If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, then why not end the night with a shot of Kelly-Anne Byrne, Nialler9, Efa O’Neill, ELLLL, Colin Perkins and more, these awesome DJs will take you into the early hours, ensuring that festival goers are treated to both chart-topping hits and fresh, innovative sounds.

An Idyllic Setting

One of the most enchanting aspects of the Night and Day Festival is its setting. Held in the beautiful Lough Key Forest Park, this 19th-century parkland offers one of the most idyllic settings I have ever seen for a festival. Amazing, lush forest walks and hidden tunnels compliments the stunning lakeside view which makes it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while enjoying some amazing entertainment, what more could you ask for!

Camping

Now if the great lineup has not persuaded you nor the stunning location of Lough Key Forest Park, then let me tell you about the camping facilities.

Yes, local accommodation such as hotels and B&Bs may be hard to find, but all you really need is a tent. I have never been to a music festival that had a natural camping site with built in showers, toilets and onsite kitchen, in fact at some festivals wet wipes were your shower.

There’s also pitches for campervans, thoughtfully paced out amongst the trees, while the tented community are intertwined within the natural surroundings, a welcome change from the normal army line with rows and rows of tents, making for a much more relaxed stay.

Conclusion

After all that, what’s left for me to say except Night and Day isn’t just a music festival; it’s a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and culture. Featuring a diverse lineup of artists set in a breathtaking location, this event offers an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t want to miss.
