Canadian Sensations Announce Self-Titled Debut Album

Out 31 October

Nova Scotia rock trio The Boojums are proud to announce their self-titled debut album, set for release on 31 October, 2025 via Having Fun Records, a new imprint of Toronto’s We Are Busy Bodies. The first single, “Wings of Fire,” landed on August 21, delivering a revved-up blend of garage grit, power-pop hooks, and ‘70s arena-rock swagger.

STREAM “WINGS OF FIRE” HERE

Formed in late 2024 and known for uploading fuzzed-out live VHS tapes to Reddit, Instagram and YouTube, The Boojums have quickly built a reputation for their refreshingly raw and unfiltered sound—equal parts nostalgic and forward-looking. Recorded live off the floor, their debut album channels themes of small-town escape, personal reckoning, and full-throttle freedom.

Wings of Fire’ is about chasing something bigger before it disappears in the rearview,” says guitarist and vocalist Willie Stratton. “It’s that feeling when you’re flying down the highway—gold on your engine, nothing but dreams in the tank, and someone you love in the passenger seat.”

With wailing vocals, snarling guitars, and a rhythm section that hits like a runaway rig, The Boojums are poised to become one of Atlantic Canada’s loudest new voices.

The Boojums Album

The Boojums are a three-piece rock band hailing from Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Formed in late 2024, they quickly made waves by uploading grainy, self-recorded live VHS performances to YouTube and Instagram, catching attention with their infectious hooks and raw, no-frills energy. Their sound is a throwback and a leap forward—melding ‘60s garage rock, ‘70s punk, ‘80s alternative, and ‘90s power-pop into something undeniably fresh.

Their forthcoming self-titled debut LP captures the band in full force: a stripped-down, emotionally charged ride through personal growth, heartbreak, love, mortality, and life in small-town Nova Scotia. With wailing vocals, snarling guitars, thunderous drums, and filthy 8-string bass lines, The Boojums deliver rock and roll that feels both timeless and vital.

The Boojums Are:

Willie Stratton –  guitar/vocals // Sara Johnston – bass/vocals // Patrick Murphy – drums/vocals

The Boojums Debut LP Is Out 31 October On Vinyl, Cd, And Digitally Via Having Fun Records.
