InBetween Honey & Jester Rock Hickey’s Pub
InBetween Honey a Band on the Rise
It’s not every night that two bands complement each other so perfectly that the entire venue feels like it’s on fire with anticipation. But that’s exactly what happened last Saturday at Hickey’s Pub in Thurles when InBetween Honey and Jester took to the stage, delivering a one-two punch of incredible live music that left the crowd absolutely buzzing, it’s safe to say the roof was well and truly blown off the place by these two incredible bands.
First up were one of Ireland’s most exciting up-and-coming bands, InBetween Honey, and from the moment they struck the first chord of I Don’t Wanna, they had the audience singing and dancing. Their infectious energy was impossible to resist, and by the time they followed up with Your Eyes, the crowd was fully alive.

As the set progressed, InBetween Honey treated fans to some of their best-known tracks, including She’s Out of Control and the anthemic Ludlow Street, each song delivered with an energy and rawness of a band that’s going places. They wrapped up their electrifying set with their latest release, Driving Home, leaving the audience wanting more but perfectly primed for what was to come next.
There is little doubt that if ever you wanted a band to warm a crowd up before you come on its InBetween Honey, their stage presence, interaction with the audience and of course amazing original songs make them one of Irelands rising stars.

Jester Prove Once Again Why They’re Fan Favourites with a Powerhouse Performance
If you’ve been around the local music scene for any length of time, you already know that Jester needs no introduction. Wherever they play, a loyal following is sure to be right there with them, and last night was no exception. With frontman Colly’s unmistakable vocals leading the charge, the band delivered a powerhouse performance that had the crowd hanging on every note. Their setlist was packed with fan favourites, including “The River,” “In The Meantime,” and “Little Run Down”, with an audience that not only soaked up every moment but practically took on backing vocal duties, belting out every chorus in unison.

Jester were on the verge of something huge with the album Shadow Needs a Light when the pandemic threw a wrench in their momentum. But if you thought that was going to stow them down, think again! The band is now gearing up to hit the studio once more, and the anticipation for their next album is already sky-high.
As far as live gigs go, it really doesn’t get much better than this.
