Swedish duo First Aid Kit return to London this September for a very special one-night-only performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Tuesday 29th September 2026. After two years off the road, the band will take to the iconic stage accompanied by a sixty five piece symphony orchestra.
For this unique show, First Aid Kit will perform their breakthrough album Stay Gold in full for the first half of the evening. The second half will feature a selection of favourite songs, old and new. This marks the band’s second time playing the storied venue, the last time was in 2014 in support of “Stay Gold”.
Joining them will be the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, with arranger Erik Arvinder conducting. This special performance will see the duo’s songs reimagined on a grand symphonic scale, bringing together their signature harmonies with the sound of a full orchestra all set within the unique surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall for what will be their only UK show of the year.
First Aid Kit said: “We’re thrilled to announce that we’re playing a very special show at Royal Albert Hall on 29th September. We’ll be joined by the incredible Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, performing Stay Gold in its entirety for the first half of the evening. The second half will be a mix of our favourite songs, old and new. This truly feels like a dream come true. Just thinking about this night makes us teary-eyed. It will be our only UK show this year, so make sure to get your tickets. We can’t wait to share this with you.”
About First Aid Kit:
First Aid Kit are sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg. Hailing from Stockholm Sweden they have been releasing music together since they were teenagers. The two-time BRIT Award-nominated Swedish duo’s blend of artful songcraft and ambitious melodies continues to fixate audiences worldwide. Following The Big Black and The Blue [2010] and The Lion’s Roar [2012], the group reached critical mass with 2014’s Stay Gold. The lead single “My Silver Lining” gathered hundreds of millions of streams and picked up a gold certification in the UK. In 2018, Ruins went gold in Sweden and earned “4-out-of-5 stars” from The Guardian, Q, and NME, while Pitchfork applauded it as “a showcase for their sweet harmonies, with some bold stylistic departures.” In the wake of the latter, they scored a second nomination at the BRIT Awards in the category of “Brit Award for International Group.” They collaborated with everyone from PINK, Jenny Lewis and Conor Oberst to George Ezra and Zara Larsson. Their 5th LP Palomino [2022] was met with critical and commercial acclaim and saw the band embark on the biggest tour of their career.
