Following a year which saw him release the what comes after saturday. EP, as well as singles ‘claim the kill!’, and ‘Scarecrow’ in collaboration with Oakruled, genre-crossing songwriter donny. kickstarts the new year with his most ambitious single to date, ‘let ur clip.’which is out now.

Written and produced in collaboration with fellow Galway artist Earl Gasket, who played and wrote every instrument line across the track, ‘let ur clip.’ at its core revolves around the idea of music as a journey. It begins eerie, as donny. describes himself slipping into the early stages of a psychedelic trip, at which point the track unravels, as meaning flies out the window, and a sense of euphoria and glee take over.
“With this song, I just wanted to have fun” donny. explains, “I really use this track to talk about myself and my feelings towards living in the world as it is. There’s some things to unpack there, but as always I really want the listener to decide for themselves”.
“This song was probably one of the quickest ones I’ve ever made” donny. adds, “It only took one session, a few hours really, as Earl wrote guitars, I wrote the lyrics and we had it all laid out in no time”. ‘Let ur clip.’ is the first of a series of tracks set for release over the coming months.
