With season four (part one) of Bridgerton premiering this week, the announcement comes at the perfect time for fans to immerse themselves in the music that defines the series.

Glas Quartet

Brought to you by the Glas Quartet, Ireland’s premier flute, violin, viola, and cello quartet, the ensemble are known for their mastery of both classical and contemporary repertoire, exquisite arrangements from Bridgerton’s acclaimed soundtrack and reimagining of modern hits with a Regency-era twist. Promising a rich sensory experience that blends elegance, romance and musical brilliance, Bridgerton Symphonic is the perfect excuse for a ladies night out, a date night with a difference, or the chance to live a Bridgerton fantasy for an evening.

About Glas Quartet

Hailing from County Louth, Glas Quartet brings together four exceptional musicians celebrated for their artistry, versatility, and elegance. Performing together since their early years, the ensemble officially formed in 2020, building on a lifetime of musical connection and shared passion. Each member of the quartet is a classically trained professional, having studied at prestigious institutions including the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Beyond their work as a quartet, they are in high demand as freelance musicians across Ireland and the UK, performing regularly with leading orchestras such as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.

From grand concert halls and world-renowned festivals to intimate gatherings, the Glas Quartet has graced stages of every kind. Their performances have featured collaborations with some of the world’s most acclaimed artists, including Biffy Clyro, Villagers, Father John Misty, Kygo, Michael Bublé, Paul Weller, Echo & The Bunnymen, Westlife and many more. Their extensive recording and live performance experience brings a distinctive sophistication to every appearance. 

A favourite choice for luxury weddings and destination celebrations, the Glas Quartet offers a touch of classical elegance to life’s most memorable moments. Their bespoke musical arrangements and seamless performances create an atmosphere of timeless beauty, perfectly complementing the unique style of each event — from Irish countryside estates to romantic settings abroad. Passionate about sharing their love of music, the Glas Quartet also dedicates time to education, with members teaching at Music Generation, the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT). 

Their charming educational initiative, “Little Notes for Little Dotes,” introduces classical music to babies and preschoolers through joyful, age-appropriate performances designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Continuing to innovate, Glas’s latest creation, “After Dark,” reimagines the traditional concert experience. Designed to captivate modern audiences, the show blends atmosphere, storytelling, and world-class musicianship to create an unforgettable, immersive evening of music. Whether performing on stage, in the studio, or at a breathtaking wedding venue, Glas Quartet embodies the finest in musical artistry — bringing grace, emotion, and excellence to every performance.

Bridgerton Symphonic

Violist Annemarie McGahon is a founding member and managing partner of both Glas Quartet and our sister quartet in Scotland, the Cairn String Quartet. She studied viola at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for both her post-graduate and under-graduate degrees. After 15 years touring the world from her Glasgow base with many well-known artists and bands, Annemarie returned to Ireland where she has freelanced in the Irish Orchestras whilst studying initially for a Masters’ in Business and Marketing and currently researching for a PhD in Social Inclusion and Music Education. Annemarie is the composer and orchestrator for both the Glas Quartet and the Cairn String Quartet, keeping the playlists current with everything from ‘video game soundtracks’ to ‘what’s in the charts’. At the heart of her classical music education lies a pop and rock princess who loves nothing more than arranging whatever she heard on the radio that morning. Annemarie has orchestrated, recorded, and performed with many notable bands and is the currently violinist and orchestrator for Biffy Clyro.

Violinist Ailbhe Clancy is a managing partner of the Glas Quartet. She trained at the Royal Northern College of Music. Following that, she studied in Bilkent University in Turkey before returning to Ireland for a Masters in Performance at Conservatory of Music & Drama, DIT. As a freelance musician she has worked extensively with the Ulster Orchestra, The National Symphony, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, as well as NI Opera and Wexford Opera. She also enjoys session work, TV appearances and playing with bands including Biffy Clyro, Ham Sandwich, Ryan McMullan, Michael Bublé and Soda Blonde.

Cellist Aoife Dennedy is a professional cellist based in Dundalk. She has been working as a freelance cellist across Ireland for nearly fifteen years and has played and recorded with many artists including Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Westlife, Alesha Dixon, Gavin James and The Coronas. A keen orchestral musician, she has played with NI Opera, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Wexford Festival Opera Orchestra and Symphonia Cymru. She holds a BA in Music Performance from The Royal Irish Academy of Music and a Masters in Music Performance from The Royal Northern College of Music. 

Flautist Vourneen Ryan trained in flute performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She continued her studies at WIT where she was awarded an MSc in Performance Psychology. Vourneen was previously sub-principal flute with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and now has a varied career as a freelance flautist, educator and performance psychologist. As a freelance flautist, Vourneen performs extensively with orchestras and chamber groups throughout Ireland including the National Symphony Orchestra, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Wexford Opera, Trio Táin and the Glas Quartet. Vourneen is on the flute faculty and lectures in Career Development at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
