Alessi Rose Academy Dublin Review
For Your Validation Tour
Alessi Rose came to Dublin on Friday night performing at the well-known Academy, it was obvious from the large queue all the way down the street that this was a sell out show. Once inside, the noise was deafening as the swelling audience were in full voice, singing a repertoire of songs from Alessi’s catalogue well before the first act took to the stage.
Enter Chloe Slater — along with fellow rising star Alessi Rose, she is fast becoming one of the most compelling new voices in the UK music scene. Kicking off her set to thunderous cheers, she launches into “Sucker” with the kind of confidence and vocal firepower that instantly grabs attention. The crowd, already charged, wastes no time singing every word back to her — proof that her music has already struck a deep chord with listeners.

The tight stage area offers little respite from the heat and energy, nor should it this is what live gigs are all about, by the time she rolls into “Death Trap,” she is completely in her element — fierce, expressive, and unflinchingly real. It’s in this track that Slater’s lyrical depth shines brightest. Her words don’t just echo through the speakers — they hit home. The chorus, painfully relatable for many in the crowd, especially the student community.
“No rooms / Just expensive flats
Our house is damp, and we’ve got rats
The landlord is a piece of crap
We’re twenty-one / Living in a death trap”.
It’s a moment of solidarity, a rallying cry wrapped in melody, and judging by the voices joining in, Chloe is clearly giving voice to a generation that’s tired of being ignored.

She closes with the beautiful “Fig Tree,” a track that, like much of her set, marries energy with meaning. It’s a perfect ending — emotional, memorable, and brimming with promise. By the time she leaves the stage, there is no doubt that we’ve just witnessed something special.

Alessi Rose
After a short break with the crowd still in fine voice the energy levels can’t get any higher, Alessi Rose strides confidently onto the stage. There’s no dramatic entrance, no overblown theatrics — just an artist taking her rightful place, front and centre, on a podium where she clearly belongs.
And then it begins, opening notes of her breakout hit “IKYK” pulse through the venue like a jolt of electricity, screams erupt, arms fly into the air, and a unified chorus of voices joins her on every word. The floor vibrates with the unfiltered beat of pure joy. It’s not chaos — it’s a connection. The kind of collective euphoria that only happens when an artist is completely in sync with her fans.
“The Pit” quickly follows, another fan-favourite that has every lyric echoed back with feverish devotion. In between songs Alessi takes time out to interact with the crowd making the night even more special. After all Dublin loves her, she acknowledges every sign, every scream, every word, these are her fans, and she is giving them one hell of a performance.
“Crush”, arguably one of her most infectious tracks to date. It’s a full-blown anthem. The chorus explodes like a confetti cannon, and if you’re not dancing, singing, and dripping with sweat by the end of it, you might want to check your pulse. This is pop music engineered for the live stage — electric, emotional, and completely irresistible.

Alessi Rose isn’t just another rising pop act. She’s a trailblazer of a performer who commands the stage with ease. If tonight is any indication, her future is not just bright — it’s blinding.
Final words, one of the best gigs of the year, a reminder of why we go to live shows in the first place: to feel something real.
