Following extensive acclaim for his debut album open this wall, followed by sold-out shows across the UK and USA, berlioz presents deep in it on August 28th 2026 as part of the Wider Than Pictures concert series.

Mid 2022 saw the launch of ‘berlioz’, an alias created by ‘Ted Jasper’ (real name Jasper Attlee) – an outlet specifically for jazz-house songs. Partnering with graphic designer ‘Pat Thomas’ to create his brand, berlioz quickly found a large audience thanks to tightly arranged cool jazz themes mixed with Jasper’s expertise in dance production.

berlioz saw explosive growth in 2023, finding an expansive and loyal fanbase. berlioz paired

unreleased music from the ‘jazz is for ordinary people’ EP with archival, film and animation footage to make viral reels and tiktoks, gaining a cult following and tens of millions of views on social media. Upon release, the ‘jazz is for ordinary people’ EP went viral on social media, with tens of thousands of reels/tiktoks being made with the music.  berlioz is described best by blog ‘frenchysaysrelax’, who wrote in early 2023:  “if Matisse made house music. When you combine the UK jazz scene with downtempo deep house, you get berlioz. berlioz is the new alias of producer Ted Jasper, and while he has only released 4 songs under his new alter ego, it’s opened a doorway for his dream like, soulful electronica genre to flourish. His clever one liners make listeners unlock core memories they never knew had, and live in fantasy worlds of past lives. These 10 second snippets of escapism and day dreaming quotes perfectly describe the feeling his music gives you, and work as a marketing strategy that has helped his music go viral; and even when you listen to the full track, it still leaves us wanting more”

When she began work on her debut LP, Sofia Kourtesis was seemingly unstoppable. A string of rapturously received EPs and singles made her one of the fastest rising stars in the electronic world and beyond. She has already graced the cover of Mixmag, released a brilliantly energetic and moving Resident Advisor ‘RA Session’, appeared on ‘End of Year’ lists from the likes of The New York Times, Pitchfork, DJ Mag and Spotify (#6 Best Electronic Song) and played instant sell-out early shows at London’s Lafayette and Manchester’s YES as well as standout performances at Glastonbury, Green Man, Wide Awake and Primavera and tours supporting Caribou and Bicep.

Born in Ireland and raised on the crackle of his father’s record collection, Ricky Chong’s journey with music has always been one of deep devotion.

What began as a youthful fascination with vinyl grew into a lifelong pursuit of sound, a search for those records that stir both heart and body. His sets are less about genres and more about feelings: house melting into disco, forgotten gems colliding with sounds from all corners of the world, always stitched together with a sense of joy and surprise.

Behind the decks, Ricky is a storyteller. Guided by his trusty rotary mixer and an endless curiosity, he has carved unforgettable moments across Ireland, the UK, and beyond from Dublin’s The Big Romance and festivals like AVA and Electric Picnic, to London institutions The Cause and Brilliant Corners, and the legendary Djoon in Paris.

Each appearance is marked not only by technical finesse, but by the warmth and energy he brings, turning dancefloors into shared celebrations.

Now part of the Ace Sessions family, Ricky arrives with a promise: nights filled with smiles, discoveries, and the kind of soulful magic that lingers long after the music stops.
