Beyond the Pale wrapped its biggest festival weekend to date last Sunday, closing with one of the festival’s defining moments as Mike D of Beastie Boys returned to the live stage, alongside headline performances from Caribou, Primal Scream, Soulwax and Father John Misty. Other standout music sets came from home and abroad, including Honey Dijon, Of Monsters and Men, Moodymann, Sister Sledge, TSHA, Max Cooper (3D/AV Live), Horace Andy & The Dub Asante Band feat. Matic Horns, NewDad, Madra Salach, Claptone and hundreds more. Late‑night energy surged through Club CuCú x CUPRA , Púc Fada and Strawberry Fields, where packed dancefloors and impromptu sessions carried the festival into the early hours. The debut of the Outpost Stage with RTÉ 2FM Live proved a breakout hit, spotlighting the next wave of music talent including Offica, Curtisy, Maykay, Overhead, The Albatross and a weekend of live performances from rising artists.

The 2026 festival drew some of the strongest audience reactions in its five year history, with festival‑goers praising everything from the atmosphere to the organisation. Social channels lit up with tributes to the “best crowd”, “unbelievable festival”, and “staff unlike any other festival”, while families highlighted the weekend as “epic, we made such good memories.” Many described it as a “perfect festival weekend” with a standout mix of music, arts, food and seamless operations and an audience consistently celebrated as “the best festival crowd”. The festival’s crew were repeatedly singled out as “wonderful, helpful, friendly and cool”, reinforcing Beyond the Pale’s reputation for delivering one of Ireland’s most welcoming festival experiences.

As the festival now looks ahead to summer 2027, festival organisers are planning an expanded lineup of music, arts, food and wellness, building on the momentum of this year’s fifth edition.

This year marked the second year of Beyond The Trail sold-out charity walk in partnership with Dublin Simon Community, a guided hike through The Wicklow Way from Marlay Park to the festival gates on the first day of the festival which raised an impressive€40,000. The weekend’s spirit of giving continued with Penos For Palestine, where festival-goers of all ages had the chance to score against Irish sporting legends Jenny Murphy and Louis Quinn, with all proceeds going directly to GOAL Global. New for last year’s festival, the Global Solidarity Hub brought together GOAL Global, Trócaire and Sightsavers Ireland for a curated blend of music, spoken word, workshops and creative drop‑ins, inspiring festival‑goers to connect, reflect and act for a better world.
