30th Anniversary Edition of 1977 out 16th October via BMG
Special live-streamed show from Belfast’s Oh Yeah Centre on 6th May 2026
Downpatrick’s finest, Ash, have today announced a major homecoming headline show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Wednesday, 9th December 2026. The date forms part of an extensive international tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their legendary, chart-topping debut album, 1977. Originally released in 1996, 1977 was the #1 platinum-selling record that catapulted Ash from Northern Irish schoolboy upstarts to global Britpop icons. Three decades on, this 30th Anniversary Edition celebrates the album that defined a generation with its breakneck energy, razor-sharp hooks, and unforgettable anthems including ‘Girl From Mars’, ‘Goldfinger’, ‘Kung Fu’, and ‘Oh Yeah’. The 30th Anniversary Edition will be available on 16th October 2023 via BMG in several formats: 2LP EcoRecord Green & Black ‘InkPlosion’ vinyl, 2CD Digisleeve, and digital. Pre-save / Pre-order the new collection HERE. The band will wrap up their global 1977 tour—which sees them perform across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and Europe—with a final run of UK and Irish dates. Dublin fans can expect a high-octane celebration of the record that started it all in the intimate surroundings of the 3Olympia.
Tickets €41.20-43.70 (inc booking fee) from Ticketmaster.ie on sale now.

The digital and 2CD edition features the original 12-track album, plus four additional tracks: the near-mythical ‘Bittersweet Blue’, ‘Oh Yeah (2026 version)’, ‘Girl From Mars (Demo 2026 Mix)’, and ‘Gone The Dream (Acoustic 2026 Mix)’.
Disc 2 captures a special live set from STABAL Studios in 2021, where the band performed 1977 in full, including fan favourites like ‘Coasting’, ‘Sneaker’, and ‘Silver Surfer’.
The 2LP presents the original album across LP1, with a specially curated collection of B-sides on LP2, highlighting the depth of the 1977 era with tracks such as ‘Day Of The Triffids’ and ‘Astra Conversations With Toulouse Lautrec’.
