InBetween Honey Rocks The Crowbar Terrace!
Making Their Mark Honey Style
The Crowbar Terrace, for those who’ve yet to experience it, offers an intimate venue for live music, with a small stage and an even smaller bar. Though it lacks the sprawling space of larger venues, it more than compensates with undeniable charm—its trendy, minimalist seating and an outdoor balcony make it an ideal spot for up-and-coming indie acts like InBetween Honey.
This was my second time seeing the band live, so I had a sense of what to expect. But as Dylan, Dan, Matty, JohnPaul, and Ciara took the stage, I was taken aback at how quick the crowd surged forward, leaving only the smallest of spaces between them and the stage.
The atmosphere was electric even before Matty’s drums kicked in to life, setting off a wave of energy as InBetween Honey opened with one of their newest songs, Your Eyes. Fans pressed closer, dancing and singing in impossibly tight spaces—though in “Honey Land,” as some were calling it, no one seemed to mind. Dylan’s voice was captivating enough to even get the non-dancer’s toe-tapping.
Tonight was all about the music—more specifically, InBetween Honey’s music. Original, fresh, and worthy of the charts, they delivered hit after hit: She’s Out of Control, Sunny Banus, Friday Night, Monday Morning. Then they launched into Ludlow Street, and the crowd erupted, every voice knowing the words as they sang along.
They wrapped up with Driving Home, a fitting finale, especially since I had an hour-and-a-half drive ahead of me. Yet, I knew I’d be riding a high all the way back. Glancing one last time as I said my goodbyes, I realized this hadn’t just been a good night—it had been a great night. We are fortunate to have so many talented artists in Ireland and unfortunate because so many bands, singers and musicians never get heard above the noise. Tonight however, InBetween Honey made their mark, loud and clear, with original songs and five musicians who genuinelylove what they do. a phenomenal performance.
